Thank you all for coming!

Thanks to Philip Durbin for nudging this along. Unfortunately for Jonathan, he is at the mercy of my hectic schedule. Much like the events leading up to the fest itself, this has been a whirlwind linuxfest. Everything happened so quickly and its already been a month gone by! We would like to thank all of our sponsors for helping us keep this event free for all to attend. We couldn't have done this without you all. Thank you to the volunteers who really helped us out in a pinch.

The schedule has come back....TO CAMBRIDGE!!!!

Sorry for me reference to the Rock from the WWE! Anyway its crunch time and here is the final schedule. Please take a look and we'll see you all on Saturday!

Announcing speaker - Mario Balletta Fedora Ambassador!

Mario

We're excited to have back with us again this year Mario Balletta! This year he is doing much more than manning the Fedora booth, he is running our mini FUDCON! Below is the title of his talk and plans for the weekend of the 16th & 17th. I look forward to seeing him there again this year!

1) Leveraging Open Source in the Enterprise

2) Fedora Application Server

3) The MESH

4) Creating A Custom Fedora Spin

Special guest speaker - Jon Maddog Hall!

John Hall

Well not sure how Jonathan managed to pull if off, but it looks like Jon Maddog Hall will be our keynote speaker this year! This is the third year Maddog has been with us and for that we are eternally grateful! I am always interested in what he has to say and few had done as much for the linux world as Jon Hall has done. I am certainly looking forward to his talk! The above image comes from wikimedia.org

Schedule version two!

This is almost the finalized schedule, we have 6 more speakers to coordinate time slots with. What won't change is the day the speakers will be presenting. If you are listed on Saturday, your talk will remain on Saturday. As soon as we hammer out the last speakers we will finalize the list. In the meantime you can find the SCHEDULE HERE IN PDF

Announcing speaker - Samuel Klein of OLPC!

Samuel Klein of One Laptop Per Child to speak at the Northeast GNU/Linuxfest. Sam is an Ambassador for One Laptop Per Child. His talk should be very interesting indeed!

The surprises keep coming!

Despite the lack of recent posts, we've been pretty busy coming up with new guest speakers. We have four more to give you which I will in the next couple of days. Our sponsors have come through for us and we're extremely happy to report our newest sponsors - Oracle, Arista Networks, and the fine folks at Rackspace Hosting! It is through their support that we are able to host our GNU/Linuxfest at Harvard this year! Our schedule has been a work in progress, we've had to move folks around so we can accommodate our speakers. Look for the pdf later this weekend.
